ציורי עבודת האדמה בקוריאה וביפן - עיבוד והשוואה

בכנס הבינלאומי שיערך באוניברסיטה העברית במאי, ארצה על ציורי איכרים ואיכרות בקוריאה וביפן. הכוונה לציורים המתעדים את האיכרים המזיעים בשדות האורז - נושא שהתפתח בסין ונפוץ ברחבי מזרח אסיה. הנושא החשוב הזה נחשב לתיעוד טכני של עבודת החריש, אם כי למעשה תעד את היחס של האליטות לניצול (אין מילה אחרת) של האיכרים. את עבודת הדוקטורט שלי כתבתי על היצירות היפניות, ואני שמחה על ההזדמנות להציג השוואה ליצירות הקוריאניות באותו נושא. גם בקוריאה הנושא המאד-טעון-פוליטית הזה קיבל פרשנויות לאומיות על שמחת החיים של המעמד הנמוך. אני מקווה שדיון השוואתי בתמונות, יעורר מחשבה ביקורתית על הייצוג ההיסטורי של האיכרים באסיה, וגם על הדימיון והקשרים בין אמנויות יפן לקוריאה.

Panel abstract:

It is accepted among art historians that artworks were transferred between Korea and Japan, that artists from both countries were inspired by each other's works, and that a certain dialogue developed between cultural centers which was supported by merchants and intellectuals from both sides of the sea. It is less understood, however, how those relations were maintained and by whom, what were the concrete pieces that were transferred, how were these analyzed, and whether their country of origin was important for their potential viewers. The suggested panel looks at case-studies of artworks that were created along the seam of the Korea-Japan, and aims at elucidating the cultural dialogue between these countries during the early modern period.
